Patterson Hood @ 40 Watt 6/11/07 [Part 5 of 5]

[The 40 Watt Club put on a special show last week to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Barrie Buck running the club. The 5 sets were short, so rather than my normal pace of 2 shows per week, I'll be posting one set each day this week.]

Three other Drive-By Truckers (and Muscle Shoals legend Spooner Oldham) backed up Patterson to close out the night.

Track 1 - Heathens
Track 2 - The Opening Act
Track 3 - My Sweet Annette
Track 4 - After The Scene Dies
Track 5 - Lookout Mountain
Track 6 - Sink Hole

Harvey Milk @ Drunken Unicorn 10/27/06

Deerhunter @ Whirlyball Atlanta 6/1/07

I would never have expected Deerhunter (Atlanta) to gain popularity the way they have in the last year. It's not that I don't think they're a great band (I do), it just doesn't seem very "accessible." But good for them. And you. 'Cause being obsessed with Cryptograms lately got me to finally get out and record these guys. This show was put on by Chunklet (who pressed up 7" records with exclusive tracks by all the bands as tickets!) at Whirlyball in Roswell, which you should check out if you ever want to let your inner child out (don't worry, there's a full bar there for your adult exterior).

[Probably Not Safe For Work]

Track 1 - Lake Somerset
Track 2 - Cryptograms
Track 3 - Wash Off
Track 4 - Spring Hall Convert
Track 5 - Hazel St
Track 6 - Octet
Track 7 - Strange Lights
