This Barbara Cue set stands out as a favorite of many nights rocking (and recording) at the Georgia Theatre. The Bloodkin guys open and close the set, David Blackmon plays some fiddle, and the late Widespread Panic guitarist Michael Houser makes his final Athens appearance (that’s Mikey singing Tracks 15 & 16).
Track 1 – This’ll Get Us To Birmingham
Track 2 – Bloody 98
Track 3 – Love’s Getting Older

Track 7 – Mr. Lucky
Track 8 – Wrong Lover
Track 9 – House Where Nobody Lives

Such a fun night.
I believe there is a photo of Mikey and Crumpy (from this show) hanging in the NoWhere Bar.
Nice! I need to go in there and take a look, haven’t been in there in years.
Thanks Sloan. Long live the Theatre!
A great night – one of many at the theater! My last chance to see Mike and the night that Sam Holt stepped out as a rock star. Any chance you taped Jerry’s set (Fastest Horse w/ Mike, Three Mile Island w/ Holt, …)?
The Jerry set is up here:

I was at this show. I remember it well not just because Mikey was there, but I found out that night from a girl down from North Carolina he’d been diagnosed with cancer. Bitter sweet night.
Hooray for Barbara Cue! Thanks for posting this, such a treat!
