I don’t normally get very excited about “tribute” bands, but then a Captain Beefheart tribute band isn’t just learning the chords and half the lyrics. Big Eyed Beans From Venus have obviously put in tons of work (there’s really no way to half-ass Beefheart’s music).

For this show the guys arranged for some special guests: Rockette Morton and Feelers Rebo (Denny Walley) were both members of Beefheart’s Magic Band (Morton appearing on the seminal Trout Mask Replica, Walley also did a stint with Zappa).
