This may be my favorite Japancakes recording, as the Morton Theatre‘s acoustics complement their atmospheric sound particularly well.

Japancakes have two new albums as of November: Loveless (a cover of the My Bloody Valentine record) and Giving Machines (new Japancakes material). There are no plans to tour for the new records unfortunately. Here’s a set from the now-shuttered Echo Lounge in Atlanta.
